Cant play my Mod!!

hello im new to making mods and to these forums. My problem is that after ive created my mods and built my bases, i launch bf2, launch a local server to try out my mod, and i get a weird white-outed screen:

then at 15%, it just closes! does anyone know a solution to this problem?

no, pretty much all medium with 1000x700 res.
if you need my stats:
2000MB RAM
radeon x600
3.0ghz duo

k - i know there is an issue with a setting (forgot which one) set to low causes things to crash.

Run bf2 in windowed mode and it will most likely give you an error message. if you run it full screen it does not produce an error message on crash.

run a normal map and see what is loading at 16% i notice at 15% it loads objects - try to look there first.

i think it was sounds but it went by quick im not so sure. Lets say it is sounds, when i followed the tutorial it didnt say anything about having to do anything with sounds before testing it, maybe it was misleading. Anyway what kind of problems are there with sounds?

yes..... then is that the one that crashes your map?

if you keep pressing retry then you should get further.....

is it me, or is that the first part of opening Bf2, where the movies usually appear, if it is, then if you would have read the whole of the topic i linked you to, it says to keep pressing retry.... if it isnt, then i apologise.

i pressed enter hundreds of times, nothing. I think maybe i did something wrong, there might be a typo in the debug tutorial. "Copy your BF2 desktop shortcut and name in Debug." i assumed this meant name IT debug. If not, what does it mean by debug? where do i copy the desktop shortcut?

right okay.... this is assuming you have installed BF2 to the default location, i.e

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2

AND, you have the 1.4 Patch, AND you have the latest version of BF2 editor (which came out with 1.3).

Press start, then click run.

Copy and paste this into the run field....

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2

You should then get the Battlefield 2 folder up....

Now search for a file called BF2_r, it should have the BF2 logo as its picture.

Open it up, and it should open BF2 as 'normal'

If you get any errors coming up before the movies, then you need to downloa d the latest version of the editor..... see here

Load up your map as normal etc etc, and then when it comes to the point where your map crashes, a error message should pop up.... take a screenprint of it....

this seems like a problem with no fix. i ran the bf2 r program, and the mod opened! it didnt say there were any problems. I run bf2, it closes at 15%! but when i did run the mod the water had no texture, trees where black blocks and everything is floating, even though in the editor objects were snapped to the ground. there was no map or minimap. Is that normal for the bf2_r program? and why did it not tell me the problem? i really appreciate both of your help but ive yet to find a solution...
