hokay i just downloaded the coh demo and i was really liking it but i am new to rts's and the tutorial was confusing me> can someone give me some pointers on rts's.....in general coh

Yeah definitely what he said as well as being able to manage multiple units at once. This holds true especially in Company of Heroes. Since resources are received from capping the points throughout the map, you'll maybe send a squad of units out to each different flag, or a couple squads to move around the map. So while building up your main base still, you need to be able to manage the squads around the map capping the points and building up defenses. It's important to make sure everything is doing something...so don't forget about one squad while working on something else...because then you may miss the opportunity to gain another sector. It really is about speed and management. Then when you get more advanced you'll learn all the lil tricks and strategies about the game. Keep playing though and you'll get better. :)

I LOVE THIS GAME, i realise its out in american now. which is good.....but it isnt released until the 28th in Australia ARRGGHH!! oh well....cant wait. But yeah with rts's Especially COH you have to be fast, capping points earns you the cash so you need to take and hold. A strat i found to be effective....(against bots) is to set up a frontline, some maps may not allow this but having a good defense is key. Also have a fall back point, because one bombing run can take out an entire frontline in one go so have a fallback line so your surviving forces can pull back and defend while reinfircements are sent. Once you box them in and cut of supplies, they become defenseless. Gotta watch out for airborne!, they are my personal favortie and i have already made several strategies with them. They serve ESPECIALLY effective when the enemy is capping a flag, or there is a panzer reeking havoc on the field, a firing battery ripping up ur defenses. Speed setting up frontlines is essential for succes in COH. Pick a fav unlock (airborne, tank or infrantry) and stick with that. Not neccessarily all the time, but getting used to one by one is a good way to get the upperhand in the battlefield

I have it...and I love it!

As for help...thats tough, RTS games are cool because each person has a seperate strategy.

I can tell you this, when the game starts you have a few options. You can send your spawned Pioneers to a capture point (Munitions, Fuel, or Manpower) or you can build a barracks right away.

I always send my first pioneers to the farthest capture point possible, and my 2nd set always goes to obtain the closer ones. You have to remeber that in order for these munitions/fuel/manpower points to give you points they all need to be connected into your territory (which you can see on your map in BLUE).

My 3rd set of pioneers makes a barracks and then i create a jeep and then a squad of riflemen. The jeep is used for spotting snipers, it takes away their camoflauge and kills them in a matter of seconds. The riflemen i send to my farthest capture point to defend. Also when i find the farthest empty building I will turn it into a barracks and start spawning guys there.

THats all the hints you get from my strategy. I know it may be hard to decipher but keep playing and you'll get better.

Also dont forget when you start to choose a division I know Allies have Infantry,Airborne, and Armor. Armor takes the longest and requires alot of fuel. Each division has their own special attacks.
