I tried that command & BF2 does not seem to load, yet i did try it on the game when no patches were released, but maybe it does work now since there has been numerous patches released for it.

I use the same trick to play in widescreen, if you have the res set at any other than 800x600 in game, it will crash.

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900

I tried this and it works:

+menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 640 +szy 480

But its a full screen and very bad quality
