1.40 - cant play SF now, wtf

After 1.40, ive been able to play BF2 no problem, but now i can't play BF2:SF. ill try to join a server on special forces, and it says, 'you do not have the map which is currently in rotation' wtf, i have the game and ive been able to play it fine untill 1.4. anyhelp on how to be able to play SF again

Make sure it is installed in the 1st place would really help.

well i had to reinstall the original BF2 game to get 1.4 because of the filcloud problem, you think that has anything to do with it?

Same problem here and after some research I found if you had to reinstall BF2 after 1.4 you have to follow these steps in this order (fresh installations):

BF2
SF
Full 1.4
EF
Full 1.4
AF
Full 1.4

Note: Yes you have to do full patching between EF and AF because EF will set some files back to patch 1.2.

so does that mean i need to reinstall bf2 and SF and then reupdate 1.4 or can i just reinstall SF

A fresh uninstall and reinstall/repatch does wonders. I suggest removing all of it and installing/repatching again.
