BF2 Will Not Load (not a patch issue)...

I installed and updated it with the new patch yesterday it was working fine.

Today I go on and try to load the game, the first screen pops up, then it enters full screen. After entering full screen it just shows black, then changes to a lighter shade of black and just hangs. I have to go into my task manager and end bf2.exe.

I just reinstalled it before coming here to make this thread and the problem persists.

I guess that u have a low end pc or just an old one. When it changes to a lighter shade of black and just hangs wait for 5+ minutes then the EA logo will appear it happens alot to me so just wait and meanwhile defrag ur hdd

Download 1.4 full and see if that does anything. Never use incremental patches.

core 2 duo e6600, asus p5wdh deluxe, 2x1gb g.skill pc2 6400, x1900xtx, raptor, etc

Download 1.4 full and see if that does anything. Never use incremental patches.

I downloaded the full patch, I never tried the incremental patch.

thats not necessarily true people have had better results with the incremental patch rather than the full patch this time around,
