Any ideas?

I am fed up with the following issue and I was wondering if you guys have any idea why it is happening.....

More and more frequently now, when I run BF2, I get the Big BF2 logo on my screen and hear my CD-rom start up, but that's it. Nothing happens. So I reclick on the start-up icon and the same thing. Sometimes, I have to reboot my PC just to get it to run, but most of the time I just eject the disk and reinsert it.

Does anyone else have this problem, or do you have any suggestions?

I am running a 3800+ AMD with 2Gigs of RAM and have a 160Gig HD with over 150 Gigs of free space. My rig is less than 6 months old.

MAybe invest in a new DVD drive.

I know I got 4 duds sat right next to me before I invested in an up-to-date [quality]* LG drive. Fixed all my probs.

hey man.. backup your BF2 folder in my documents, delete from my documents and resart the game...
