I went into the gamelogit or file it is and did the remove name tags line. I wanted a battle recorder video of a game without name tags. I took the line out and now everytime I try and connect to a ranked server i get a message saying 'you have a modified version of bf2. This server only allows bf2 version with unmodified content' or something along those lines. Does this mean I need to reinstall bf2 patch and all to play ranked servers again?

Never touch the BF2 mod files or folders if you want to play online. Always make a virgin copy of the BF2 mod and do your editing there...Originally posted by simmy.uk
Hope you made a backup or remember what you did to restore it back to its original state. If you didn't then I bet you won't do it again. Plan on reinstalling... -

i have had that when i try to install SF but it always fails cause of my video card so i have to reinstall patch 1.3 (1.4 now) so do that and then run the file and it should take care of it.Comment
