I'm not sure if I follow your logic about the G36E. Any moron can go look at the actual listed statistics of all of these guns and see that the G36E is absolutely the best on paper but in the game it handles just like any other gun.

The F-35 to G36E comparison was a horrible one. The G36E is just like any other weapon in the fact that you have to aim and fire. That critical sequence is the same with all weapons and it all boils down to which of the weapons does it the best. Often times when my G36E runs out of ammo I'll pick up another medic kit off the ground and I'll end up with an AK, L85A1 or M16 and I'll kill just fine with it but I always do notice that my offensive power has gone down an notch in the process.

I've used every single weapon in this game quite a bit and I can say without a doubt killing people with the G36E is no different than killing with any other weapon aside from the fact that it excels because of its good numbers

Because with the M16 you couldn't go rambo with 3 round burst mode and kill anything within site, but you had to carefully place shots with single shot mode or the bullets would fly out sideways of the gun like the M249. Now imagine after doing all that you were given a gun (G35E) where you could go rambo with 3 round burst and actually hit everything. I mean - If they managed to do good with the inferior gun where you had to have more skill, of course you're gonna anihilate anything with the similair gun that's about 10X easier to use.

I stand by my F35 analogy, even if it's a little different. Same principle.

That may be, but calling it the "overall best gun/unlock" is clearly ridiculous. There is no way that any of the SMGs is better than a good assault rifle in the hands of equally-skilled players.

I tend to find the 36E as the best since it has snipe abilities and a one 2 quick clicks can kill an opponent usually.

Ironically there was no real beef wit the medic class till the 36E came around.
The L85 Medic is the medic I respect (unlocks weps I mean)
It takes a little more skill to use the L85, as opposed to the abilities of the 36E to deliver 3 round burst damn near perfectly...add in the ability for the burst to be pin point and have reasonably high dmg...

It all comes down to the basic method of shooting in Bf2, single clicks for accuracy and laying on the mouse button will only induce more random shots..so with 3 quick mouse clicks with a 36E at a guy thats 9 bullets doing 332 dmg each..And those 9 bullets diviation is so low a good majority of them will hit.
To use the L85 froma distance shows the basic example or spread. While a single shoot will land, any mutiple burst will land very infrequently.
Just like in tight corners Ive had the L85 ready to lay some guy out..I spray 15 bullets at him..most just make dust..only a few hit.
Change situation..I got the jump on some guy no auto, so Im using burst.
As I approach I know were ever my crosshairts are one click from my mouse will deliver 3 pinpoint rounds. SO with the L85 and its mishap with the last 15 bullets it shot inot deviation land..the 36E will turn that into 5 rapid clicks each pushing 3 high/med dmg rounds pin point into the target.
SO..L85 in a pray and spray moment..deviation will rape you unless you have god like headshot abilities..some people do, but Im basing these thoughts as an explanation to a noober not ready to be a head hunter.

All in all the lack of deviation in the 3 shot burst coupled with its excellent dmg makes the 36E just a nudge higher then the L85. THO Ill take the L85 for some sniping and long range combat.

Now if Im MEC with a AK...then that weapon alone poops on all the other Med guns

I gave the L85A1 another shot (pun intended) and I pretty much reconfirmed my original findings about the weapon. Don't get me wrong because it is a great gun and I still managed a minimum of 70+ points in a 10-15 minute round with the weapon but it is certainly no G36E. I find that the L85A1 excels in killing proned newbies at medium range with a single easy zoomed headshot shot but in every other scenario it falls short of the G36E. The full auto has massive deviation. It's a trade off for the rate of fire it can achieve and ease of use but I prefer the more difficult but ultimately more effective triple shot of the G36E.

As far as the all of that nonsense about the L85A1 taking more skill than G36E I find to be absolutely false based on my experience with both weapons. Two examples: The G36E does not feature full auto such as the L85A1 so in addition to firing the weapon you've also got to control your click rate (and click quite fast versus multiple targets). This takes away concentration from your target aim. In addition the L85A1 has a extremely comfortable and large scope for taking out ranged targets whereas the G36E has a crap ironsight that does not zoom. This makes engaging ranged targets with the G36E noticably more difficult and thus more skillful.

In summary while both weapons take plenty of skill to use the G36E is the superior weapon without a doubt for a *real* combat medic such as myself. A medic who is up on the front lines laying down fire and reviving fallen teammates. Having the ability to engage ranged targets effectively is important as well but close to medium ranged combat is where 90%+ of real medic firefights take place. I also prefer the G36E over the AK because I find it to be much more accurate and reliable weapon while the AK tends to be all spray and pray.

Since I think AK is the absolute best, complaints about g36e feel a bit silly - why complain about people who pick inferior gun as MEC medic.

don't jump to prone forward like most people do, jump to prone sideways it totally screws g36e users up, by the time they adjust their aim they would be dead or close to it. most jump forward aim straight and shoot. i have a button on my mouse (page forward) bound to single/auto and i use it a hell of a lot. alot of times if im in full and i see someone ill jump to prone sideways click single in mid air and pop pop. i certainly dont go for headshots but th l85 seems to excell at it, can't count the times ive popped someone in the head as they bunny hop at 100 meters and been like wtf i can't believe i made that. also it is excellent for taking out mounted pesky mg guys in a single shot. and guys runnin sideways with bad pings, i dont waste near a full clip trying to take them out, ill take some tester shots to see where the hit box is then fire at that distance. sometimes i can kill 9/10 guys with one clip. rarely do i run out of ammo, unless of course im forced to spray and pray under rare circumstances. yes the G36e is a better gun, due to the very low recoil and bullet connection, i quickly became good using it. but if you can master using the L85a1 like very few people then u will find yourself killing more with it than the G36e and not always asking for ammo, and u wont be getting spammed noob has to win using the G36e by the guy holding a pkm, like he should talk. as for planewhore saying if i tried to run a circle around someone prone they would kill me quickly that is true at 5 or more feet they probably would unless they really sucked, but at less than 5 feet jumping to prone is suicide. some people are just so used to it tho makes for an easy kill.

i took some screens of some recent rounds in the last few days using only the L85a1 against almost all g36e using medics, a few g3 users some naders and some noobtubers. these are average rounds for me with this gun. the first screen i got rezzed with a g36C. good accurate gun lacks punch however @ 27 damage. 7 shots to kill armoured is rediculous.

although the g36e is a great noob gun, most experience players dont use it unless they really can't handle any other gun effectively, or get as many points, if you can master using the L85a1 then using the g36e just seems easier.

Depends on what map you play on I would think. In the urban maps I love the Jackhammer, it is just scary. But overall for CQC or longer ranged maps you can't go wrong with a good SCAR...i haven't unlocked it but everytime I kill a Spec-ops I take this thing. It seems to be deadly accurate on single fire and full auto can take down a few people per clip. Makes me wish I unlocked it sooner~~

The best gun is clearly the RPK-74!

The best unlock is the G36E. Lets me get a more-accurate version of the M16 on MEC and China instead of the nerfed AKs that can't hit anything at distance any more.

EDIT -- The worst gun is the MP5!

yea probably the gun that takes me out the most before i have a chance to respond, i see alot of people using it now and its probably the only gun i really hate going against. i havent mastered it like some, i cant hit worth a damn with it, others cant miss.
