2 or Three for me, although only one on startup.

The other that i can remember was mid game as i was about to C-4 a helo hovering low over a flag (*damn! )

just refomatted my computer..... as so forgot that all my custom controls had gone,

i.e having parachute as f and not 9.....

so jump of roof, then at the last second, after pounding F for the whole fall, remeber 9 should be the parchute. BOOM critically wounded. BOOM CTD....

reapplied the full patch.... nad touch wood havent had another CTD

I've been getting this same "state bits differs" CTD too since 1.4. Never had any issues until this patch. I hope Dice is onto this b/c I see quite a few people getting this same exception...

Have had more CTD when picking up a kit. For me this is new with 1.4

I haven't encountered a single CTD upon clicking "Join game" since 1.4.

I do, however, occasionally get CTDs while playing the game. I had none yesterday, but 2-3 days ago I had two in one gaming session.

CTD -> it used to be when trying to join a game.
Now I had one 20-30 sec. after that, when I was driving away in a Votnik. Looking at the dump file shows nothing, no error where it should be one (or I don't know how to look at it).

I dont have any CTDs anymore. I few things I did was, upgraded my RAM to 2gig, defrag, installed 1.4. To this day never had a CTD again (knock on wood) :laugh:

Virtually none, well maybe 1 or 2 since patch 1.4. I think the latest patch is much better then previous ones,for reducing CTD.

I play FEAR Combat now because of the CTD's. I can't play anymore becasue of them. EVERY time I click on a server I CTD... I miss BF2:cry:

I'm just curious, are any of you still getting crashes priar to the 1.4 patch? I myself have had about 5 or so.

This isn't a hate-thread towards anything, I'm just completely curious to see who is still getting them! I've searched the forums and noticed that actualy, a lot of people are still getting em!

Prior to the 1.4 patch, the only BF2 related CTD's I received were the "Join Game" CTD's. Any other CTD was caused by something else, such as A/V software, or something else running in the background.

After the 1.4 patch, I no longer CTD, and I am smart enough now to know to close other offending software, before starting BF2.

I currently have an Athlon X2 4600+, 2GB ram, and a 7900GT. I also always install the "full install" of any patch. Before, I had a P4 3.0 Prescott with 2GB ram and a x700 pro. I still only got CTDs with the "Join Game" button.

i got 2 ctd since de new patch BUT all the time it happen it was a the start of a round and my cpu was choppy... so i guess it my cpu and not the game
