    Mi-35 Hind

Quite frankly, I hate this chopper. It feels like it's just floating around, there is no balance between lift and drag on this bird. All it does is slip, skid and crab.

Most of the choppers seem to fly in the same manner, except for the Hind. I don't know why they would make this bird so difficult to fly. I can fly it perfectly fine but when I enter low G maneuvers, it just slips or skids into the ground/trees/obstrucions. Seems like you gotta' use too much pedal to keep your heading with this pile o' junk.

Don't get me wrong, after a few hours PIC time, Im sure you can master it, but this bird doesn't seem to get out of it's own way.

What's everyone else have to say about this chopper?

By the way, I use a joystick to fly. Maybe it's just me...

It's not an Apache for sure. My biggest complaint is the spread on the rockets. I can handle most of the flight characteristics, but killing tanks and other vehicles take more precise aiming with the rockets since they are so far apart. The Apache is the exact opposite.

The HIND is good against infantry because the rockets are spread out, so you can surround them. The Apache is good for everything else.

Yeah it pretty much sucks. I'd trade in the new content that is the Hind for just reusing the Havok in SF. The Hind floats around like a full bathtub in zero gravity. One time I was flying forward, or so I thought given the keys I was pressing, but it was facing 2 O'Clock and strafing. Thing's a POS. Plus the rockets go everywhere and are 30 feet apart so it's anti-armor capabilities are a joke.

that sums it up very well.

I don't mind flying the hind, I've gotten pretty decent at it. I guess it just takes time. I think the hind benefits having a gunner more than any other chopper (other than maybe the havok).

I don't know if this Hind move has a name, but with the Hind specifically, you can aim your nose down at a central spot and have the chopper circle around that point, giving your gunner steady enough centering to get some great kills but also making you a very difficult target to hit. I've only seen the hind has the ability to do that with any grace.

Tank kills, AA kills and the enemy choppers are the gunners job anyway

What's this 'Havok' ya'll speak of?

I'm kinda' a noobie to SF. Was this so called 'Havok' a chopper in previous patches prior to 1.3/1.4?

The Havok is the standard MEC MI-28 attack helicopter in regular bf2.

Since when is it called the 'Havoc'?

I've been playing this game for roughly 9 months and this is the first time I've heard that term used...

The Hind is ok against infantry, however nothing in either SF of BF2 is better against infantry than the Apache. The spash damage and accuracy is almost unfair.

All I know is not being able to fly any of them is a huge disadvantage for me. I've been thinking about picking up a joy stick to see if it helps

I think the joy stick is more maneuverable than a mouse.

                        It's worth a shot. :)

Atleast it'll make it a tad bit more realistic. I suggest you get the Logitech X30 with the twist handle. It really comes in handy when dodging fighter jets.

I prefer this copter over any in the BF2 games...it is well armored so you can charge at your enemy while nor worrying about taking to much damage while you release precise attacks...in addition, this copter isn't a flying tin can like the apache, it has some meat on its bones so to speak...
