Pseudo-Lag???

I logged on after installing the 1.4 patch and now my screen jumps around like crazy when I'm playing. I'll be walking in one direction, and suddenly my crosshairs will pop over to another. It feels like lag, but my shots are hitting instantly, and I only have 40-90 ping at all times. The framerate is high, as well. Any ideas? NOTHING in the game world changes during these jumps - it's only my screen and the direction I'm facing. The game ran smoothly before the patch.

I'm running:
AMD 64 3700+ @2.12ghz
1 gig corsair ram
ATI X800 PCI-E
Windows x64 Professional

is it the incremental patch maybe that is why i say jsut reinstall the "full" patch

Get ready for a bunch of people, that didn't even read your first post, to tell you to get 2 gigs. In all honesty, Dice slowly killed off BF2 knowing people would crave a working BF game (hence 2142). The #1 best thing you can do is not buy anymore DICE games until they fix BF2. Buying 2142 would be like burning your money with a lighter, because we all know its going to be like a theoretical patch 1.5, even worse than the previous patches to the BF2 engine.

Try turning down your video settings, if that doesnt work try reinstalling bf2 before thinkin about 2 gigs.

yea u dont wanna spend money on 2 gigs unless u r sure that is the problem which i personally dont belieive it is.

I turned down my video settings to just about nil, and i'm still getting this. It's not a lag problem. It's not a video problem. It's like I'm stuck in limbo or something...

Alright, I figured it out! My audio codecs needed updating after 1.3. Who knew!?
