Ah man what a problem this is....

As of now i have tried the following:uninstalled drivers,installed 6 different drivers. totally cleaned out my system of old drivers.

Tried system restore ,but still problem persists.

My problem is a blue screen i get quite often,with this error NV4_DISP this has also affected my sound i get this infinate loop ,i also cant play movies on my computer because the sound is screwed and most of the time they dont even run.

Sorry this isnt BF2 related 100 percent but could do with some feedback thanks guys.:)

wat are ur computer specs?

i remember getting this error once in a while a while ago but i cant seem to remember wat it was caused by. i think it was either computer overheating or soemthing with the ram

I have the EXACT same error and problem!

It is the most frustrating thing!

This just started with patch 1.4, and I'm pulling my hair out trying to find a solution!

What are your specs? Perhaps we have someting in common:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+
MS-7145 (ATI RS480 Motherboard, Socket 754)
1.5GB RAM
XFI Xtrememusic
320GB HD

I've reinstalled drivers, used driver cleaners, everything. I'm out of ideas.

I emailed EA Tech Support and NVIDIA tech support.

If someone out there has had this error with BF2 Patch 1.4 and found a solution, please share.

I am pasting my BSOD memory dump below. Is yours the same as mine?
