The game crashes to the Desktop after installing Patch 1.4. Crashes at 62% Geometries while loading map. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

this might help first uninstall Bf2 then reinstall it then make sure u have the FULL 1.4 patch is not download it then patch BF2 tht should make it work reinstalling bf2 does normally solve some probs i hope this helps

i have the same problem, but now that ive uninstalled to reinstall, my patch fails all the time ...

Delete your BF-2 cache files...

Turn down your lighting to low , 62% it says Geometries but its lighting . EVERY time i turn lighting from low to med it allways gets stuck on 62% geometries for awhile .

nah, i opened game in window mode and it gave me an error saying im missing fnp 90 meshes ...
