Cleaning a laptop LCD screen. How to?

Are there any ways to clean my laptop screen without damaging it? It's getting pretty bad. It's not just dust either, it's like small spots on the screen that need to be cleaned.

you can buy a special foamy cleaner i think, i just have some 3M wet wipes

dont bother!! take some kitchen towel, wet some and use that to clean the muck off. then use some dry kitchen towel to take off the damp residue and give you a smear free finish. and theres no chemicals involved. but pls, be careful and dont use a soaking wet peice of kitchen towel, you will water ingress your screen! and then no amount of cleaning will help it :)

yeh just damp a paper towel and lightly whip the screen, then ur good.

I bought a starter kit from here . Had it well over a year and still loads of cleaning solution left . Large cloth is handy for at home with the TFTs and the mini one lives in my laptop case .

dont use any paper products to wipe your screen with. paper is an abrasive and will leave micro scratches. use a cotton cloth or better yet, wipes made for screens, eyeglasses, and lenses.

The best way to do it is to use a very soft cotton cloth with rubbing alchohol. Yes, rubbing alchohol. That is actually what they use to clean it straight out of the factory. I use it on my LCD's all the time. Takes everything off.

You could i suppose look in the manual and see what it sugests.
If you havn't got the manual look at the manufacturers website.
