mouse/keys locked ?

hi all, i've got a very strange problem and really need some help please, i have searched the forums with no luck,

i been without bf2 for days now :hmm:

i was playing bf2 the other night, when in the middle of a battle the pc just decided to restart itself, it was working fine before that, all i did was hit the tab button a few times and the button above(next to 1) that displays kills etc, not sure what its called, so i let the pc restart and started the long process of loading the game and getting back on a server, now, when i get in the game the keys/mouse are just stuck wont do a thing , i tryed to restart it a few times including the pc again, but no joy,

so i uninstalled bf2 then reinstalled aswell as special ops then patch1.4 , i did'nt delete my profile settings etc when prompted as i didnt want to loose everything, thinking the reinstall must have fixed the problem i tryed again .
but its the same thing , the mouse is even stuck in exactly the same position as before the reinstall, :cry:

i am baffled , dont know what to do now, has anyone had a problem like this ?

could it be cos i didnt delete the profile setting etc when uninstalling ?

pc specs. hp pavilion p4 3ghz , 1gb ram, radeon x300/x550

Yup.

Remove the BF2 folder from your My Documents. Save it somewhere else. Let the game create a new folder for you. You'll have to know your login name and passwords of course. Then once created and you can use the game again, you can move specific files over like your controls.con file (that may not be the precise name) where your keyboard settings are. If the game still works, you are golden.

if u do uninstall everything including your profile all you have to do is retrieve your account when starting the new install

When you log in, there is a retrieve account menu that comes up asking for your login name and password. You have one for the EA system and one for the BF2 username to remember.
