Internet access problems with Multiplayer - WEIRD PROBLEM

Hey guys. I've got something really strange going on.

I can start BF2 in Single player and mouse over to say Firefox or IE and browse the net while the game is still running. If I click the Multiplayer button, I am not able to browse the net anymore, on either Firefox or IE. The weird thing is that I can connect through the game online and play, Ventrilo and MSN still work, but normal internet browsing does not.

Any ideas? This is driving me nuts!

when you click multiplayer it has to ping all the servers and usually stealing your banwidth to doit,

i must agree with Flipinomad, it does seem a bit silly to be browsing the net when your full attention should be on bf2

yeh BF2 uses most of the bandwidth to search for servers and play games, so if u are still atempting to surf the web while playing then don't

I guess I should have clarified more because you're making this out to be something that it's not. The point is that I used to be able to use a web browser at the same time as BF2 and now all the sudden I can not. I'm NOT trying to do both at the same time. Many times I'm in a multiplayer map on my own practicing flying, techniques, etc. When I want some tips, rather then exit, find what I want, and then reload the game and wait for maps to come up I simply move my mouse to the other screen to firefox and find what I want. You're making it out like I left you for dead in a game or something.

If anyone has anything intelligent to add I'd be very appreciative.
