Could BF2142 be last for PC's ?

Could the end of the Battlefield Series end for PC users the same way it ended for the Call of Duty series ? Would you put it pass EA not to do it ? If BF2142 doesn't sell but the Xbox360 Version called Bad Company does they might descide to call it quits on the PC. Plus every patch is "failing" and there heading downhill, they might not decide to try to get back up that hill. I would like to hear your opinions on this.

COD fans never thought it was going to happen either, actually it never even cross there mind. If you use COD as an example please try to also stay on topic : BF's end on PC.

I don't see why not? I mean, it's more profitable to produce console games vs. PC games. EA has also demonstrated for the most part that you can still make sales with a 12-24% faulty product. Just imagine those percentages pushed over into the console domain. As long as there are no major game killing bugs (which doesn't really matter, considering next-gen consoles can update as well) EA should be able to make a killing off of titles like 2142 over in the console market.

The only problem I see is player base. CoD2 for the 360 had about 8 people to a match (somthing in that range), I would hardly call that a competitive enviroment. Once they get the knicks outa' that though, consoles could completely overshadow PCs. Not so much in gaming quality, but in games sold. In the end, that's all that really matters to 95% of publishers. It is a buisness afterall.

Sorry to paint such a morbid picture.

speaking linearly, they started early in modern warfare, and progressed through with each new title and the next release is in the future... they'd have to break into new territory or something and go older... unless they left the "Battlefield" name behind and started a new series with the same concept.

The DICE press release said that info on the PC and PSP versions of Battlefield Bad Company would be released at a later date.

Battlefield Sticks and Stones! This is in Cavemen Times where you fight with Stick and Bones, and Can ride mammothhs to battles, they also fire water out their trunks like tanks!
