well i was looking to make a new account but "unique nick is already taken" stopped me. what symbols can be used as in ~? ! etc, also is there anyway to see what names arent being used?

why dont you just try a name and see if its allowed?

This is the criteria from EA:

· Name must consist of Alphanumeric

· Must begin with a alphabetic character

· Can not start with a number

· Must be greater then 4 characters but no more then 14

· 4th char cannot be -

· Can not have special characters in it, except “underscores” _ and “dash’s” –

· There are some reserved EA Support names which cannot be in a soldier name

· Names cannot begin with @, +, or #

· Cannot start with a space

· Cannot end with a space

· Cannot contain double spaces

Battlefield 2142 Names must meet the following criteria.

This is exactly what EA replied with. Notice BATTLEFIELD 2142 on the very first line. EA replied with BF2142 even though I was asking a question about BF2. Perhaps this criteria only applies to 2142?
