First time playing 1.4 (had it dl'd since it came out) and guess what within 5 minutes CTD

LOL, I rarely had a CTD when I was running 1.3. But the first time I installed 1.4, and rebooted, I had a CTD right out the gate. And, the first server I joined, I got a server disconnect error! GG. But for the most part, 1.4 has been fine. I am disappointed that it did not get released 2 weeks after 1.3 and came out minus IO and JBad.

What about a mute button and all those other things this game needs...

Slow *** ribs, working AA, balanced jets, theres tons of things they didnt fix.

same here. i havent had one bit of a problem since the 1.4 patch and bf2 runs fine ony my laptop and desktop computers

ive only had 1 ctd since 1.4 came out. nothing like it was in 1.3.

Yeah... I haven't CTD'd since 1.4, so check ur system.

I haven't had a single CTD since 1.4 and I rarely CTD'ed in 1.3. My main gripe with 1.3 was the CONSTANT server crashes that consistently killed our servers everytime they happened.

I.. never had a problem with 1.4 The best thing you can do is make sure it's not your machine causing those CTD'S someone posted a thread about this..

Sad but very true.

The only problem I've had with 1.4 is somehow I can't play sf, I select a server and it won't allow me to join (as if the server was full) and no box pops up as to why I can't join. Vanilla works good though minus when I grab either a dead medics kit or support kit and rearm/heal myself that resupply sound or healing sound loops until I resupply or heal again :hmm: .

almost ALL of our clan had at least one CTD since 1.4
most of us, on first play
then none since
and server crashes? hehe
2 times - it said lost connection
(to all of us - we had 20 on ventrilo)
then game resumed in about 30 seconds

for the most part - 1.4 has fixed the server crashes
at least for us

When I first ran 1.4 the game ctd. After afew hours the game ran pretty smooth.

To play devil's advocate, it might be memory problems on your computer bro... not necessarily the game.
