Vanilla works fine but cannot get into a server for SF

Alright, this morning I had an issue that I didn't know could happen since it's technically the same game. I load up SF using the "stock" target line and all that jazz. Everything loads up just fine but when I select a server I'd like to join it gives me a noise (like when a server is full) but no box pops up stating the reason I cannot join that particular server. I then quit and tried again thinking something happened, no dice. I then load up vanilla and it works like a charm. I was able to play sf 2 days ago which is why this is so puzzling.

Any ideas?

BTW, I'm using the full 1.4 from EA's site.

No, I've had sf since I bought vanilla around december of 05...patched 1.4 the day after it came out and I was able to play SF 2 days ago.

so what happens u click join server and nothing happens?????????
does the whole map load and then slect spawn screen shows up??

No, I select the server and you know the sound that happens when a server is full, I get that sound and no box stating why I can't join that server.

Nothing loads, it won't even get into that screen. I think I might uninstall SF, reinstall then patch again.

sounds like some kinda problem with the prgram itself reinstall might be the way to reinstall

I'll try it once more when I get home and if that doesn't work I'm gonna reinstall/repatch. Thanks :) .
