im not ure if there australian, but i play on game arena, iconz and internode with pings of around 30-40. im not sure where GA and Int are based, but i know iconz is in NZ.

gamearena is owned by telstra...

i also play on gamespace sometimes but mostly i use internode

i'm in sydney and the internode servers are fairly fast pings...

Ranked servers are ridiculasly expensive. It starts at $50 and can go up to $200 for a 64 slot.:hmm: Thats $2400 a year. Maybe those high points server are against ROE cause EA wants players to spend more money on 64 player servers.
