I have been trying to get better at the sniper kit and I have the m95 unlocked which I use both on usmc and mec. the problem i have with snipering is that sometimes i'll hit people just fine and i can see the hit go off when i hold down the fire button. however, sometimes i aim the same way and i have my reticle right on the person and i fire and it doesn't hit. am i doing something wrong here? sometimes the person is staying still and i KNOW i have my reticle right on them and i fire and i miss. can someone give me some tips!!! thanks!

Re: Sniper Rifle Accuracy on and off
There is bullet drop to factor in. The farther the target, the more you need to compensate for bullet drop...especially with the M95. -

Re: Sniper Rifle Accuracy on and off
L96A1'S bullet drop is even worse though. And of course the crosshair of the M95 is quite thick. As said don't go on high ping servers ( I always stay below 60 ). Also bullet travel is in the game it isn't like counter-strike when you make very very long shots I mean from south base to airfield on Wake Island 2007.Originally posted by -FaKe|ArsonThere is bullet drop to factor in. Idk, it seems as if bullet drop doesnt affect me as much as other players
but i rarely get a head shot even when i aim at head (from a med-far distance)Comment

Re: Sniper Rifle Accuracy on and off
Bullet drop on all rifles is exactly the same. That doesn't mean its not there, but really, there's no difference in drop. For proof download the weapons spreadsheet, and look at the bullet velocities: they're all the same for sniper rifles.
However, the M95 has the biggest moving deviation of any gun. So if you move in the slightest just before you shoot, you can ruin the shot.
Unless you plan to shoot people out of choppers or cars, go L96. M95 is a great gun for what it can do, but it's just not as practical as the L96 for most situations.
Don't shun the SVD/Type 88 either, they're both great guns if you plan to do close/mid-range sniping. They have slightly less zoom than the bolt action rifles, and are slightly less accurate than the M24/L96, but they're great guns if you know how to use 'em.Comment
