That happened to me after installing 1.3 with SF. Just keep uninstalling it and reinstalling the patch until it works unless there is a better fix for it. I had to reinstall 1.3 four times before SF would work properly. One thing that helped me was having no programs running I don’t know if that will for you.

Look for the pbsetup.exe and run it. SHould be fine after that.

I already did that but nothing, Ill have to try it again or maybe reinstall the patch like solomon said

I just encountered this last night , I hadn't tried any of the EF or AF maps since the 1.4 patch until then , and got this msg when I tried to join our server . I used the full 1.4 and have no mods installed .

same problem here - I really really do not want to have to redownload AF and EF and then patch again (which I would also have to redownload)
interestingly I have the same issue with Gulf of Oman

If re-patching with the full 1.4 patch dont work
double check that u have your game ID linked to BF2:AF

give this a read but do it with AF instead of EF

I seem to have found my problem and got it sorted .

I was one of the few that changed the cache file when that 1.4 patch was lurking in there and we thought it was going to be released . I never installed it but when I reset my EA downloader and copied back the EF and AF folders and files , the downloader saw they were down but wanted me to install them , now they were already installed so i didn't bother . This morning I reinstalled both EF and AF and then patched 1.4 over them and it works fine now .

Does anybody else feel, that it is pretty stupid one has to repatch the addons? It must be possible, that the addons recognice that the game is patched in a higher version.

The addons were made before the 1.4 patch , plus I presume the 1.4 fixes stuff in the addons aswell .
