Weird shapes appearing...

Hey all,

I recently updated my Catalyst video driver, and since then I have been getting some really weird things happen on the screen:









Just to give you an idea of what it's like, the tip of these "shapes" seem like they're pinned to where it becomes a point, stretch and turn as I move around.

My system specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3400+
1GB Ram PC3200
ATI Radion X700 256MB AGP

This problem also happens in BF2142 but never occurred before the update. Also, there is a second system here with almost the same specs, same video driver, and this problem does not occur. Anyone know of any settings that may need to be changed... or anything. Thanks in advance.

what do you have your video settings for on the game?

I have the graphics set to Medium. This has never been a problem until today.

Well, only thing i could think of is it may be overheating or it got messed up with the update

Is this a common occurrence when video cards overheat?

sometimes ^ ..u can also get artifacts which is like small weirdly colored boxes appearing all over ur screen

if u really think its teh drivers..try rolling back and see if it has teh same problem

stick a 120mm fan or so see if that help's i think that it's getting to hot or try installing the game agen
