in reality theyre little more than beefed up asssault rifles (sort of like the support version of the G36 with the 100 round mag), also ive heared the ones used in iraq jam alot.

i think US ARMY uses the FN-MAG as general purpose machine gun and the marines use the M-60, or maybe its the other way around.

Oh, well still having a machine gun with a 200 round drum is still something to be scared of.

i like the m249 saw most even though i dont use it though, it just looks like a pure anti infantry weapon and i bet in real life people would run from the sight of an american soldier holding one, just looks brutish :p the gun i use most if the G36E, please dont flame me :cry: lol

Got a K/Dr of 21/6 with M249 SAW yesterday

got a gold too(10minute round)

Not to mention that my Ping was at 400

something like that. the US military in general uses the M249 at squad level(hence hte nick name SAW). 1 man in a squad that consists of 9 men. then there is the company support platoon that is most often armed with M240 medium machine guns. the M60 has pretty much been phased out in favor of the SAW and M240 but there are still a few out there.

anyhow i must change what i said earlier. my favorite weapon in game is now the RPG. it works great against armor transports and infantry. it is the primary reason i have as much time as AT. we should really have those on vanilla. if so, i dont think tank whoring on maps like Karkand would be such an issue.
