street names

i think the city maps in BF2.....should have street signs with street names.....i kno this may seem a bit umm.. retarded...or stupid, but think of how great it would be to be able to communicate locations more specific......i think it would enhance tactic and communication, not to mention add some bit of realism/immersion

i dont expect this idea to be implimented, or considered, or even noticed, but i still think it would be cool...

Not neccessariliy (hate that word), IRL, the army gives sector and segment readings i think, they break up the map into blocks or squares just like grid references, i dont see y taht cant be impletement on the map in BF2

Its a great idea, perhaps not street names but sectors, a faint overlay of a grid on the map view. Thats how I used to break up unknown towns when I was in the forces, its a quick reference and accurate. maybe just maybe in 1.41??? but I think a good modder good do it. Just an idea!

Would be nice to have some other form of map-reading then:"Ok, squad, head east through the alley and cross over that street there, and down those stairs by that ramp over there, and go down and cross over the road we always get run over on by the tank advancing from the road heading south from Train Accident. We'll cross over the water, cross that street, and head down that road, you know the one i'm talking about, and turn east on that road between that building and that fence, and turn south on that road...are you guys still with me...?"
