What tactics do you guys use on company of heros?

I play as the US, use either Armor or Paratroopers. And start with two engineers, one builds a barricks - whcih trains one squad of regulars. and the other goes out and captures the closest point and then I go out as far as I can with my regular infantry to capture the closest point to the enemy to cut them off from that much of an advanced. Then I use my engineer teams to capture the points behind my infantry and build bunkers and sandbags around my regular infantry.

If I'm using armor then I put all my points over to where I can get the Arty Sherman and get one of those and put it at one of the points. If I'm using paratroopers I get the AT gun dropped in and then use airstrikes to help defend (against tanks and at guns).

This is all against the ai, don't know how well it works against other players, since I'm playing the SP demo.

It won't work well at all.

Your best tactic in a MP match is "the rush" - ie, get out there as fast as you can and cap as much as you can. The more you have and the longer you have it means you'll have more resources than your enemy, quicker.

I still don't know why it won't work for me, no matter where I download it from. Single player BETA, Single player demo. Fileplanet. FileFront. Xfire tried it all and it says the Zip is damaged and a CRC is ... and should be ....

Is the file even a Zip?

no its a exe.

Make sure you deleted all of the previous downloads (every trace) then try again

The betas were in zips, but the actual demo is a .exe file. It extracts the setup to a temp folder and runs it from there, but its still a .exe.

COH is a run of the mill, everyday boring rts. theres no tactics, just managment. faces of war ownz coh so hard.

I can't even run the BETA dl. I got sent the code when I pre-ordered it. Whatever though I'll try just downloading the SP demo.
