spot bug with 1.4

anyone else notice this. i do ALOT of spotting, anytime i see a vehicle i spot it, before engage infantry i spot them, helps the team out ****loads, too bad more people don't.

almost every single airmap i play not a single person spots jets or helis, makes for a very frustrating match sometimes. anywayz ive noticed around 30% of the time or more so on your first attemp when u try to commo spot something nothing happens at all, ive tried spotting a vehicle at the last split second of view running into a flag and get nothing alot of times, frustrating cuz now my team has no idea a car full of troops is heading to our flag, or our jet doesnt know that the enemies jet is coming up around him.

I've noticed this too. Also jets/choppers don't appear on the map when people spot them but I think this is a bug pre-1.4. I don't understand why people don't spot jets, it makes shooting them down so much easier.

Yes, spotting has been majorly bugged for a long time.

If a single PIXEL of anything else is between you and what you're spotting, the spot will likely fail.

YES, I spot all the time too, it dosent work for crap now, damn your fixes dice!!

I've never noticed an issue with the spot before 1.4, also the issue I'm having with the spot is when you try to "Q" then spot, it dosent even register you hit it. It dosen't even say "hostle forces spotted"

Spotting is great for teamplay, IMO.

I would guess there is some sort of effective range for a valid spot? Often times, I can clearly see enemy vehicle, yet when I "spot" it, the vehicle will not be ID'd.............

Spotting is extremely hard to do now, so i usually don't bother. Back in 1.12, it worked perfectly. But each patch after that, it has gotten harder.

Go figure... POE2 fixed spotting and made it perfect, so if any of the circle is on the enemy, it will spot it.

It may be related to the new taunt* feature in 1.4, the evil laugh when you spot a dead enemy. They have probably modified the spot system to implement these new features and naturally, being Dice, introduced some new bugs.

*You have to join the veterans program and supposedly have to have bf2142 installed for the taunt to work.

I noticed that you have to wait untill you see the red nametag. If you spot them then, very likely to work out right.

Yes there may be a bug as I am constantly spotting out enemies or snipers on buildings. It usually happenes for me twice in a row; I will be spotting enemies and when I try to spot him out it will miss him twice in a row and than spot him on radar the third try.

It happens randomly and not occasional enough to make it annoying; but for the most part it works a great majority of the time and has since beginning.
Love spotting an enemy right before he runs around a building so I can see on radar if he is hiding around that corner or if I should sprint up to shoot him in the back.

Yeah it happens to me, and now it looks like staying that way since 1.4 is supose to be the last patch
