BF 1,4 patch problem

I downloaded the new 1.4 patch...installed it and ran the game..chose a server when it finished connecting to server and i was in the server able to choose team and stuff my mouse didnt move and keyboard didnt respond either..ace told me that i should post it here cos maybe some1 would remember it here..so please help me out?-

Go to Options->Controls and then hit the 'Reset to Defaults' button and then his 'Apply'.

Your controls.con file must have been corrupted and this will fix it.
