I got punished for a TK with a Claymore today, so I suppose it kills your team mates.

I think it's alright to allow TKs with Claymores. If you lack so much awareness that you fail to notice the bright red icon with skull-and-crossbones, I can't blame the sniper for a Claymore-TK (same goes for AT mines and drivers with no observation skills).

What I don't get is that Claymores are invulnerable. They should get destroyed by things like grenades, rockets, tank shells, etc., but they don't.

Sometimes the red skulls dont even appear though.

The clays killed you because the server admin put friendy mines on which makes your teams land mines and claymores active to your team other words, you can blow up from them and give them tks

Calymores are way too powerful in this game. To start with they are invincible with ultra sensitivity but yet grens and rockets dont set them off. You only have to walk about 10 metres away from them to go off. Yesterday i was walking below a ledge that had a claymore on, as i went past it went off when i was about 10-15 metres below it, it didnt kill me only hurt me slightly.

I have never been Tked by a claymore or by one of the mines layed dfown by my team. I just think that the clays are way too sensitive when a PERSON walks by them, yet if you shot them, drive over them, fire a tank shell at them they dont go off.

Yeah, and how exactly is a claymore supposed to kill you when your travelling in a buggy going 50mph and it goes off 10 meters to the right of the passenger side.

                    I hate that.

I hate FF alltogether Your team is always going to be too stupid to see the claymores. FF shoudl be taken out of the game exepct for C4 TKs

When detonated, the M18A1 Claymore delivers spherical steel fragments over a 60° fan-shaped pattern that is two meters high (6 ft) and 50 meters (165 ft) wide at a range of 50 meters (165 ft). These fragments are moderately effective up to a range of 100 meters (328 ft) and can travel up to 250 meters (820 ft) forward of the weapon. The optimum effective range is 50 meters (165 ft), at which the optimal balance is achieved between lethality and area coverage.
Or were you on the "safe side"?

I think that they should be set off by things such as grenades/tank shells, each other, etc. Then again, I could already see someone devious setting up a domino like chain reaction of those things .

Devious: SFSouthpaw attempting to claim his expert EO badge Vis-a-vis everyone's friend: The Claymore Mine [so far, unsuccessfull]. :drevil:

                          Re: Claymore issue

I’m not exactly sure if its the latest patch or the server setup. My squad server has FF on and I think it is great, because how are you to cap a flag that is protected with numerous clays. Now if you could detonate clays with grenades or gunfire, then I would also support having FF off. Clays with and without the red-X have killed me in other public servers; so now I just avoid all clays, except those invisible clays that you never see but always seem to kill you.

if it so happens that if u kill an enemy with ur claymore and a teammate happens to be in the blast radius of the claymore then it will either a) team damage him or b)team kill him.
