in game yes, IRL no. can you name another pistol that fires in excess of 900 rpm and is accurate to over 100m with armor penetrating capabilities. i think not.

I am not talking about real life. I am talking about the game :)
if an enemy is more than 100m away then the lack of accuracy of an SMG will make it useless. The full auto is good, but we all know thet spray and pray is hopeless most of the time. I prefer to have more accurate and controlled shots.

P90 can penetrate body armor, but not in this game.It is similar to any other SMG.

Berretta F93R AP: single shot, 3 round burst, or modified special full auto pistol, fires AP FMJ rounds capable of penetrating low-medium grade body armor. 15 round magazine can be replaced with 30 round extended magazine.

true its not the P90, but in real life i would rather have the MP5 at my side, the weapon is indredibly stable, just as small, and can carry FMJ as well as JHP rounds where as the P90 can only carry FMJ i think. it is also notoriously rugged and easy to operate.

the P90 can penetrate body armor in the game, and SMGs in the game are just as good assault rifles when your a crack shot. ive hit snipers way off in the mountains of karkand with my P90 and MP5, if you can shoot it well then theres nothing better to have.

you talk of Sub Machine Guns like they are slightly above pistols in what they can do. they are not at all, the guns in game as well as real life have incredible range when used by an experienced shooter.

The P90's armor penetration ability is just like the MP5 or the pistol or any assault rifle or LMG. Their in-game bullet type is what is called "bullet_small_arms" by the game's engine. You need 33% more bullets to kill armored target compared to the unarmored one.
Please do not compare with real life guns as a one head-shot from an SMG can kill in real life while you need two bullets in the game.
If you can snipe a sniper from a distance with the P90 then you must be shooting in single shot mode. The pistol is more accurate than an SMG in single shot mode. The pistol causes more damage than pistol in the game. This means you can still snipe with the pistol if you can snipe with the P90.

I usually prefer the mp5 when I'm US but when I'm not I either take the dao or the p90.

i like the DAO more but then again ive only got the P90 a few tiems off of dead soliders.

I love shotguns and usually roll with the DAO when AT. Recently out of boredome I bicked up the p90 and have been totally loving it.

It definitely is a beast in close quarter combat. Maybe not a lot of damage per bullet but it puts a lot of lead into the air. I whipped around a corner at mashtaur and just held down the trigger and took out 3 guys with one clip.

For targets at distance you just need to work the small bursts and single fire.

Though I usually play other kits to help my squad I've discovered it's pretty nice to have an AT guy around instead of only when called for. You always have that random buggy or humvee making a run for a deep flag. Just whip out the rocket and get an easy 4-8 pts for taking it out.

I've been having some very nice rounds pts wise and having a hell of a lot of fun doing it.

My question though is.. Has it changed? Gotten a buff? I've never known it to be this good before. Someone said that they may have improved the netcode or hit detection with the recent patch and that it might have helped out the SMG's a lot. Will the MP5 be similiarly effected?

the p90 is nice. it sucked though before they increased its rate of fire but now it's a beast i like it 'lot better than the dao

Umm.....update me people.
Did they improve the p-90 in the new 1.4 patch or something? Cause last time I checked the p-90 sucked. It had too much recoil and isn't that great in closer ranges and is almost totally useless at longer ranges.

I think one of the reasons I like the p-90 is it has a decent mag capacity. By the time you've killed someone with it you still hav more rounds in your mag than the MP5 had to start wih.

I always used to praise the PP-19, but the P-90 has replaced it in my heart. Why? I dunnoe. It just fits my styleof play better.

i have still mp7 and p90 still to unlock... i agree with u kayback the pp19 is good.

i use to say: the more bullets a gun have per magazine the better it is (exept support weapons)

so the p90 is very good
