General BF2 question

How do you go into spectator mode, for example after i get killed, i dun wanna spawn, but wanna look around? is that possible?

and, if i wanna use battlerecorder, can i play while recording?
(btw, how do u start battlerecorder?)

Some servers have it enabled, some don't.

You don't use Battlerecorder..it's server side. Visit the 'Community' tab after playing on a Battlerecorder-enabled server and there you can download it.

Yeah, Only Some Servers have battlerecorder enabled, and only some servers have Spectator mode enabled, dont panic!

Spectator mode - not all servers have it as previesly said.

Battlerecorder, in the search filter tick battlerecorder, this will look for servers with battlerecorder on them. Now it's a trial and error time, as a lot of servers don't have it working properly, meaning, at the end of the round you can not download the files, so you'll jsut have to be patiant and find a server that works.

You can just uncheck the spawnpoint, till you get killed (from critically wounded), than press the X in the up-right corner (not the OK or whatever).
Then click C (or the change camera view button) to watch other players.
Is that what you ment?

I belive if spectator mode (really called free camera) is enabled, you press space while you're dead and you can zoom all over the level.

I belive if spectator mode (really called free camera) is enabled, you press space while you're dead and you can zoom all over the level.

I have tried that one, it switches between third person view and first person view while i am dead, but, its still helpful, THANX A LOT!!!


Well, i dont know if this is a glitch or not, but two or three times, while i was playing BF2, i went to the menu and back into the game and my WHOLE HUD dissappeared! i couldnt see anything of my hud, i could see the game, couldnt move!

i could press pagedown and hear me say negative, is this a glitch?

Great for when there are no spawn points, watching that lone sniper sit there waiting, waiting for a 2 point kill
Seriously though its a good feature, i like watching other players, can get some good tips :)

NP m8, always happy to help. Really useful when your team have no flags anymore. Till I discovered the X button just disables the spawn screen until further notice, I clicked the DONE button every each 10 seconds or so :laugh: that was so annoying :laugh:

good questions.....and with the battlerecorder, do i need to install something else? i have a whole bunch of files but NONE of them download, they all fail....WTF
