It is a testament to the game that the focus of an overall review of BF2 after 1.5 years online, is overwhelmingly on stats, ribbons, medals, ranks, unlocks etc.

...this one area of the game has become an unhealthy ubsession - and I am not talking about the players' mental state here, but the "health" of the gameplay. Regrettably it has deteriorated as the obsession with stats have become paramount.

The points are fine. Its the game play that sucks.

The instant you see someone they jump then dive, all the while shooting. Yes, I know you cant shoot when you jump, but you can when you go prone. Now its who is the fastest to the prone. So EA adds a delay AFTER you get up from prone? What the hell good is that? The delay should be after you go prone. I remember playing when it first came out. It was better before any patch attempt was made. The name bug was rare, just deal with it.

If that is the style of play that EA wants, I guess I made a mistake getting the game. All I wanted was BFV with better graphics and features. I guess its back to BFV and POE for me.

Scrap all the points so poeple can play the game and actually enjoy playing it not because they are wanting those next 50 points or so so they can get there next rank. I beleive that the points/rank system was a major downer for BF2. If they hadnt bought in the points system and done rank system over a period of time that would have been better because people could enjoy it more.

Switching gears a bit.... I was frustrated to learn I need 50 hours in both Jet and Chopper to get my next rank ,Brigader Gen., with Vet air and Chopper badges.
So I guess if you are a groundpounder, you can forget acheiving a rank above Colonel.

That's all I got out of this. You made one valid point, one suggestion, only one!

Other than that, :cry: . Which doesn't really help in the long run. Oh, and you know there is PoE2. So you don't have to reinstall BFV.
