I'm having trouble getting custom localization files to work. I'm wondering if it's due to Vista? Since the Documents directory is different than the one in XP (which BF2 is expecting) I'm thinking maybe it's reverting to the default localization found in the core game files. Any other Vista people have an issue with custom localization files not working?

They work, try them again for me. My host was having troubles recently and maybe you hit it on a bad day.

So should I place those files to EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/Localization/English? And do I put just UTXT files to Localization/English folder? Great work BTW! :)

I have a question. I've already installed your localization files before I got EF & AF, now all the text is back to normal (i.e. it doesn't have the key points to cap or def on map loading anymore). Do I have to reinstall it?
