I go for the mole just over the left cheek. Picking a larger target like that allows for deviation in the accuracy and bullet drop.
I said it not too long ago in a sniping thread, but as quoted from The Patriot, "Aim small, miss small." Meaning, if you aim for a certain nostril, you will probably get a headshot, whereas if you're just trying to hit the guy anywhere in particular, you might miss. But I don't think that really applies to this game. As sniper, I always go for the headshot.
My instinct tells me to aim for the chest, i keep saying to myself face face face, but still go for body lol

I crouch everytime I fire, were applicable of course, prone ruins it for me.
So in most cases my aim ends up on the enemies chest. Yet, considering almost "EVERYONE" barrell rolls to prone that I go up against in a firefight, I end up dropping it a bit to "knee level" and taking em' out with a few well placed shots to the head (Odd that it sometimes takes a few).
...why don't I go prone you ask? Well, because everyone aims at the knees. Dropping to a knee throws off their headshot assumption. Also alots me about the same accuracy with more mobility.
I play a lot with the m16 as it is my favourite rifle bar ak 101 and i usually find myself aiming for the neck as it recoils up and ak 101 i aim to the left shoulder, always end up as a head shot.
when a sniper i go for the head. everything else i go for the body. it is pointless to try to play marksman with a rifle that is not designed for such.
its weird, as I have killed players that are gunners in a FAVs driving by at a high rate of speed with 1 shot with a sniper rifle, which tells me its a headshot, I do that all the time, but I almost NEVER kill another sniper with one shot, even if he is across from me and all I can see is his head, like when Im at the train accident and the enemy is at the gatehouse on Karkand
but usually I shoot them in the shin, when they reach down to grab their leg in pain I plug them in the top of the head
