Should Jalalabad been a SF map?

So, what do you think? Should Jalalabad have been a SF map? I think the zips and grapples would have made it a better map.

Also, I would like to play this map at night.

lol that was the first thing I thought of when I played it. I ran around wishing I could get on top of certain buildings...so my vote yes

Road to Jalalabad, while a cool map.. doesn't feel all that new to me..

Case-in-point, we've already got Karkand, Sharqi Peninsula, Mashtuur City, Ghost Town and Warlord for inner city combat and I really don't think another one was needed. I would have preferred some type of mountainous region setting, characteristic of real world Afghanistan.. like Khyber Pass for instance.

Same great taste/New look. Although I would love for a grappling hook or zip line. Maybe they'll (yeah right) make a night map of it for us SF-ers.

Not sure what it should have been, just glad it is what it is
Playing that map at night would be so much fun.
*sigh* If only the vehicles had working headlights, the night maps would be so much cooler. Imagine an aimable spot light on the RIB or on the transport choppers?!?!

Yeah, this map is just like the other inner city maps, and yes agree, ziplines and grappel hooks would be wicked, around the Mosque, they're alot of walls and stuff... not fun.

Outstanding idea. Maybe you could bring it up to a mod team.

no if you could get on all the building there would be to much roof top fighting

You can play all BF2 maps using the SF tools and unlocks with my Special Forces Unlocks Edition. In addition to all the unlocks in SF you also get to use the unlocks and SF tools in BF2.

I am currently updating the SF Unlock mod to be compatible with the final 1.4 patch. This would include allowing you to play Road to Jalalabad with the zipline and grapple hook.

Yeah it would be sweet having it as a SF map.

SF would have been the best choice for this map w/ the Hook and Zip line

I think how they did it is the best way. If they only gave it to SF people there would have been so much bellyaching about how EA is trying to make people buy SF etc, etc.

I do think it's a good idea and perhaps they could have made the map for both SF and vanilla so you could play with or without the cool stuff that SF has to offer. Putting the SF version at night is a good call too.
