when do stats officially register?

i believe that game stats only register once a game has completed. is this true? it doesn't make sense that they'd apply to your stats immediately as they happen. anyone know what the real answer is to this?

They are sent to the server once a round finishes. As for when it updates in BFHQ and on stats sites, it's anyone's guess. Sometimes it takes a long time, sometimes it's almost immediate.

Yeah, they are sent to the master server at the end of each round. They are then processed by the master servers. EA say they are processed pretty well straight away so your stats should appear within a minute or two of the round finishing.

that pretty much somes it up, on the weekends though expect for them to take forever to update in bfhq.

so, if there's a server crash, kick, quit the game etc... before the round ends - are all of those points lost? i'm assuming you need to be in the game when it ends for those points to be applied?

I believe if you loose connection to a server, you loose your points.

If you're kicked or banned, you still get them.

I'm not positive but I think that's what happens.

if you have been playing in the server, and you go out that server, for WHATEVER reason, your stats will be recorded.

Official EA ranked servers send stats at the END of the round, but there is also a update-stats function in the scripts.
i havent been able to see that in action, since i cant xs any Rankserver or its files for research.

i assume that a snapshot is being send during the game (maybe only the awards/promotions you get), and the final stats snapshot on end of round.

I know you probably intended to mention the caveat that this doesn't apply if you lose your connection due to a server crash. It's not always apparent that a server crashed vs. a just losing the connection. To be clear the only time that stats won't be sent is if a server crashes prior to the end of the round.

A real time stats update or even a mid round update wouldn't make sense considering the load it could put on the stats database. It apparently can barely handle the server updates now.
