This isn't a new problem, and I know others have had the same problem, but I noticed something new today. I played BF2 for an hour or so then closed the game for an hour or so. When I came back, the game wouldn't launch. I get the BF2 splash screen, then nothing. I know others have had this problem, but I haven't seen a solution.
Today, I noticed that when I press Crtl-Alt-Delete and look at the processes that are running, BF2 is still running. It's using 58% of my CPU cycles and (if I 'm reading it correctly) 252 MB of RAM. After I ended the process, BF2 launched normally. What's up with this????
