server crash in 1.4?

Has there been any server crashes yet? If there is did dice/ea even try to fix it???

There have been server crashes, but not nearly as many as 1.3. Dice fixed the ones caused by 1.3 but standard crashes occur more often than before 1.3.

There were definitely server crashes prior to the 1.3 patch...but not 8,10, 15, 20 crashes in 24 hours. I looked at the daily plots for player population on a sampling of the top 20 BF2 servers and saw several servers that had no crashes, several that had one or two. I didn't see any with more than 2 crashes in 24 hours. That's a BIG improvement.

I'm pretty sure EA is coming out with a hotfix for these crashes. Although not nearly as much as 1.3, servers still crash once in a while.

They must know how they crash if they developed the 'crash instruction' code themselves...

From 12 maps I played last night there were 5 complete server crashes.

1st server I joined crashed on round 2, so I went and had dinner.

2nd server I joined crashes on 2nd round, then again after restarting.

So I join 3rd server, which crashes on round 3, then again after restarting.

At that stage we called it a night. Sadly, the problem appears to be worse.

Dunno where you get those numbers, within hours of release of 1.4 admins were posting into here reporting 5 complete server crashes already.

Well, very seldomly, the current "Connection problem" server crash came with the 1.3 patch.
