If it only happens on your computer and not your sons its something with your computer "Since your sharing the network". Clear all spyware using Ad-aware. Check for anything that might be running in the backround. Make sure you have granted BF2 permission to access the web in any firewall software you own. and if all that fails uninstall BF2 from add remove "Save your name and password first!". Delete the folder in My Documents, run a reg cleaner like JV16. and re-install BF2 then the "Full" 1.4 patch.

I cant help you, it looks like you have done everything. Did you call your ISP?. You could try going to Start> Run> type CMD and hit enter, type "tracert" without the comma's, with a space after tracert type the IP to the server you play on hit enter and let it run. This will show you your pings to the server, the number of hops to it and any dropped packets "Dropped packets = BAD!". Any errors write down the server with the problem and "CALL" your ISP. To get out of the program type EXIT at the command prompt and hit enter.

I effin' fixed it! For any of you that had McAfee Firewall at one point in time, download and install Security Task Manager. Run it and wait for the system files and drivers to come up. They will show in red as you are unregistered. If MpFirewall.sys shows in this list, do a search in your WINDOWS folder for MpFirewall.sys and send it to the Recycle Bin. Empty the Recycle Bin and restart. Viola.

I've been forced to use Qtracker as an alternative to the in-game browser. I will give the steps mentioned in the above link a try to see if this will correct my issue so I can use the in-game browser again. Thanks The_Jacl :)
