Nvidia7600gs troubles

I recently bought a NVIDIA 7600gs for my computer. I was able to run all my settings on medium with no lag at all. Now I get a little lag on vanilla bf2 and a ton of lag on mods like poe2. I even lowered the video settings and still get tons of lag.

Also, in the past couple weeks it's been taking longer and longer to connect to the account server.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you mean LAG (which denotes internet ping issues) or Framerate drops?
