    New AA ?!

Is it me or the ground AA seems more accurate?
I played a couple of rounds on Wake and on Dalian Plant and I was hitting those elusive J10s just enough to scare them away and to become a primary target.
I don't know about the jet's AA, but somebody could verify that too.
Could it be they improved the missiles?!

I hit an Mi-28 with 2 consecutive missiles (surprised me) however it didn't blow up, and I only got one assist

      Perhaps it got improved armor.

So nobody thinks AA is better?
Not long ago, it was a hot subject. Now that 1.4 is here, nobody cares anymore?
IO is such a big problem that everything else is forgotten??

Its because no one uses the AA to notice... anyways knowing the failure that is EA they didnt change it.

I use it frequently. The main reason being that no one else will so its unexpected. Works well for me.
I havent used it since the new patch but I thought it was pretty good before 1.4 you just had to practice. . . . . . . .Red

Ground AA was damn good in 1.3. Without flares a lock from ground AA meant I would get hit. If it was MAA that got off more than two missiles before I got out of lock range I usually went down if I didn't have flares to shake them off.

Two hits from ground AA won't kill a healthy jet. It takes it down to a little over 1/3 life, 3 hits will make a jet catch fire though.

you obviously never fought any decent pilots or they all had f35s.

People get lucky once or twice and start spouting how AA owns, none of them really know..

i do decent in AA against airborn targets, but the real fun of AA is mowing down infantry.

I'm talking about J10 specifically, as it was almost invulnerable.
It seems to me that it's easier to hit a J10 now then it was before.
                      That's all.
If more people would use AA, jets would be just an annoyance, instead of decisively tipping the balance of a round like they mostly do.

If everyone used AA I'd get a lot more jet points.

You can shoot at AA at draw distance, which is further than lock distance. So I'd just shoot the AA from far off just in case and if someone happens to be there woohoo, two points. If not I've blown up the turret so I don't have to worry about it for a little bit.

Even if I forget, it still takes three shots from AA to take down a jet, and turrets only have two. So I even have screwup room beyond just flares.

I've had a swing in a Linebacker in 1.4, not much different, though I did notice more connecting hits.

AA still needs a range increase of 100m or so..

Ya and theres usually not that many people on your team, cant really afford to have 5 people sitting in AA for the odd chance a jet comes close enough.

                              Exactly that! More hits!
That is what I noticed too and I was so surprised to actually shoot down a J10. How often that happens with ground AA?!
And the lock-on time seems to be reduced as well.
If it’s true, this is the best change 1.4 has so far.
