After installing 1.4 I had a huge performance issue while playing online. I usually get 99fps and above but after this patch it seems like that it has come down. With my specs I am pretty sure that it shouldnt happen to me. You Know. Please post what happened to help our TotalBF2 community members who are going through the same problem.

Re: Patch 1.4
1.4 is ok but I am still pissed off at DICE for taking 106 DAYS to release the patch. they had the CTDS fixed over 2 MONTHS ago yet NO hotfix.Comment

Re: Patch 1.4
For those with performance problems, you have to clear out the shader cache in your Battlefield 2 My Documents folder. It works wonders.
1.4 works perfectly for me.Comment

Re: Patch 1.4
My pings have actually gone down for some servers. Before the patch, one server had a ping of 50-60. Post patch: 20-25. The random thing is I now have a lot of fluctuation in my framerate. It stutters as if I was pinging at 150+. My framerate, according to renderer.drawfps 1, never drops below 45. That should still be fairly smooth. The stutters happen when it goes from 100 down to 45. The numbers aren't matching up to the perceived performance.Comment
