no.. you have to be running the same version of the game in order to connect to a server.

Nope, you will only be able to play on the according servers running the same patch, in this case it's 1.4.

well i asked the same question yesterday and i got flamed... everyone was nervous about possible release of patch so i got flamed ..

and you know ,,, im still alive heheheheheh

and if you want to play both versions still... make a copy of yur battlefield folder..then patch yur battlefield ... now you got a 1.4 version and a 1.3... so you can rename the one you want to play to battlefield 2 and te other eg battle backup... and you can play both versions lol
