    Now all is peacefull.

All I hear is "medic", "get ammo here" and the occasional patter of grenades falling all around me. That as well as the gunfire. And the sound of people dying.

At last the groundpounders are finally free and unshackled of the plane and chopper whores who have feasted on us for long enough. Now it is our time.

    Agree 100%

Flamers dont get me wrong - i can own in a heli / tank better than i can as inf. but i just feel you have to use better range of tactics in io, makes it
more of a challange, the game more diverse etc. no doubt some people feel the total opposite.
However which is the most popular map? I would say Karkland 32player, I would say that is more or less an inf. map.

Better range of tactics and more diverse?! Surely once you strip a game down, removing options and tactics, you actually make a game less diverse and less of a challenge...

Let's see. Now we have some essentially redundant kits - Engineer, AT and Spec ops. What you're left with is just a raw fps for medics, support and sniper. You'd be mad to any other kit. In fact this can even be narrowed down further - a squad of pure medics is the most astute decision a team can make. And what's the only thing that can really stop this? That's right, another full squad of medics...

We have less modes with which combat can be initiated and dealt with - there's no need to spot tanks for the air or AT guys, there's no rock paper scissors.

The most popular map may well be karkand, and you're right - it is an infantry map - but it's more than that because it does have jeeps, apcs and a tank or two to increase the diversity of the tactics a team can employ. Sure, the tank and apc drivers can whore it more than the ground guys, but I've won plenty of gold medals as a groundpounder.

Looking forward to play special forces IO HOWEVER the famous vehicle-lite option should've been implemented as well. You could like make nice c4 traps on jeeps cos they will be very popular. Some big AT action instead of haunting those armors all the time.
Nobody remembers DC Lost Village, all it had was BH flying over the coast. It was awesome. And BF2 has not one map where there is only transport.

THEY MADE A VERY BIG MISTAKE TO NOT INCLUDE TRANSPORT IN IO. WOULD'VE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER WITH THEM.

It really doesn't make sense they didn't do that. It's so obvious that was the best thing. Instead they come with something complete unlogical thing like make sprint last longer.

Also noone would cry that they are making BF2 like CSS if there was transport. Then everybody would've been happy. Make the assault nade launcher effective against jeeps and voila. A perfect flawless game mode which would ROCK.

Damn why do they have to get everything wrong in this game, patch after patch. I can't take it anymore !!!

Finally the day has come... FINALLY.

I had an awesome firefight out in the desert of jalalabad today, switched to a weapon i hadnt tried in a while (the spec ops m4), put it on single fire and moved about the rocks and trees peppering the enemy with lead. So much fun! At one point there was me and 3 other guys round this rock formation near the river and they charged us with about 20 guys but we just about managed to fight them off. what an adrenaline rush! what a buzz! and no apcs or tanks to ruin it. Truly, i now recognise another god, and he's the guy who implemented IO.
