If I have the deluxe edition and I already have 1.3 downloaded can I get the full 1.4 patch and dl it over the 1.3 patch of my deluxe? Will it work, or do I need to uninstall then dl deluxe and then the full 1.4? I would try the incremental but ppl are complainin about it not working.

i've been told that you can patch the 1.3 to 1.4 using the FULL patch... but lemme know how it goes..

i updated my 1.3 with the full patch

it completed the patching

but now, i can't get past "connecting to account center"

It should make no difference what version of BF2 you have (DVD/CD?DELUXE), just use the 1.3--->1.4 Incremental patch that should be all you need. Reboot once installed and enjoy.

rebooted clicked short cut same, then I tried the actual exe in folder same....CTD

So I just uninstalled everything (including mods) and will reinstall.

I will post back with results.

Well I used the incremental and everythings working fine for me.

Dont forget to set the BF2.exe to an allowed internet program in your firewall software. When it gets updated you have to point your firewall software to the updated bf2.exe or you might have problems.

How'd it go? I'd hate to have to go through the whole unistall reinstall cycle all over again. so tedious. Out of curiousity how exactly did you achieve a specs gold, knife gold and pistol gold in under 15000? :p
