Patch 1.40 MD5 Checksums

Because neither EA nor one of the other download sites provide some MD5 check sums and apparently filecloud offered a corrupted file i want to make sure my download is as it's supposed to be.

So please post some MD5 check sums of your downloaded patches!!!
Mine are (downloaded from multiplay.co.uk):

EDIT: Just updated with the incremental patch and everything seems to be fine!

BTW: There seems to be not ONE 'new' building / house / whatsoever on this jalajala map. I feel the love EA

from gamershell is 532! weird

I was just in the process of copying over the patch from a burned dvd to do just this when I stopped in .
I'm curious to see not only if I got the right patch, but what files have changed since the beta.

Some changes in file size are natural and have to do with what filesystem the server is running.

I downloaded the filecloud patch....it was the 1.4 beta, so I had to re-install the game and i'm now DL'ing the 1.4 full....says 530mb for me. I'm sure something will go wrong again.....lol

I downloaded the full patch from filefront:

I downloaded the incremental from the EA Ftp site:

Size: 140 MB (147,067,375 bytes) using WinXP Properties

So I am downloading the 1.4 incremental from filefront to have another md5sum to check. Someone has a wrong file up.

Looks like the TotalBF2 file at filecloud is incorrect. Use this filecloud link instead.

Some changes in file size are natural and have to do with what filesystem the server is running.

Not physical file size, just the file "reported" file size (meaning the disk space size). This changes because of how the filesystem formats the disk (4k, 8k, 16k, 32k chunks) and how much space the file takes.

The physical file size should never change, that is why we use hash files to verify the integrity of the file.

Yeah, if EA serves up the wrong file... something is seriously wrong. Ill just use the EA dwnloaer when i get home
