No, but I must say if you take a day of work or school to play that it extremely stupid for just a video game, and not even a new release, just a patch.

I love the folks saying it's stupid to do so.

but the fact is - i'm sure everyone has taken a day off to do something that someone else would deem stupid.

I had a freind who took a day off school to drive to a different town to buy a car that was a great deal. Some might say he's stupid for doing that.

no, its a damn video game. pointless in life. just a game of entertainment.

a car, is something needed, and very expensive taking a day off to save money on buying a car is worth it. not some damn game.

I got up early to play HL:2 just after it came out... but apart from that I've never made sepcial provisions to play.

Well, when I was 10 I "extended" my illness to play on Driver 2 for Game Boy Advance (dunno why it was a crud game:p ). Aside from that no.:)
