    1. You have to be online to update Punkbuster and for counting
    2. Uninstall Battlefield 2
    3. Install Battlefield 2
    4. Launch this patch
    5. Install Special Forces if you got it
    7. Install official booster packs
    8. Launch this patch again
    9. Install your mods or copy them back
    10. Defragment the partition containing Battlefield 2
    11. Clear the shader cache
    12. You are done, go fight, soldier
    13. Don't forget to defragment the partition containing the shader cache/s soon
Funny how with one patch to fix things creates more things to fix ,very ironic i think.

Hope you guys sort out the problems.:)

1st try.. Your connection has been lost.. 2nd try.. You seem to be having network connection problems.. 3rd try.. I get in.. oh wait.. Your connection has been lost.. Why even bother with the full patch.. WTF good is a incremental if you have to use the full one anyways.. it's all bs and you can reinstall everything again or wipe out windows or your *** for that matter but it still won't take away the stink that EA is leaving ..... Back to 1.22 for me.. Glad i backed up my folder so i don't have to reinstall.....

I just played some BF2 and I get under 15 frames per second sometimes. I get 88fps average in FEAR and other games run smooth but this brick of $hit runs like the brain of a DICE employee... slow and unusable.

Did you move your "..../Documents and Settings/Battlefield 2" folder to the desktop? and launch it again( basically this removes the fact that your shaders and your conig files have become corrupted )
If that doesnt work disable DEP for BF2
and if that doesnt work, make sure you have no folder locking software installed
As per 1.3 make sure theres nothing( i..e no redirections ) in your hosts files in windows and make sure all firewalls are disabled

Installed full patch and cant get into the game any more, Says eather my email address or password is incorrect. So i did a complete uninstall and reinstall and used the full patch and get the same error. Went to game spy and reset my password and you gussed it. Same error message.

    Best patch ever.

Guess i wont have to worry about playing this game any more, it's made the decision for me.

For most of you I believe are enthusiasts here, you can try resetting your clock back to default and see if it works.

Good luck to all! I still am not 100% satisfied with this patch though myself :P
