What Will 1.4 Do to POE2?

OK, so the new patch is out now (at least at FileFront). But these days I'm playing POE2. So should I download the patch? Will the patch effect POE2 the same way it will effect BF2? Any special installation concerns? I'm not much of a techie so any advice appreciated. Thanks.

We gonna find out in about an hour or so when everything is patched and updated, rebooted and POE two finally completes loading and verifying.

POE will not be a part of the official BF2 stats. They have thier own alternative stats system that will be operational in the future.

Stat whores need not apply to POE.

Dont install it if you want to keep playing POE for the time being.

If you want to install it, make a new install directory, or wait for hotfix from POE.

No hotfix is planned for this patch at this point unless major issues come up.
PoE2 should be OK with this patch, has been tested with the beta 1.4 patches but of course you never know till it's tested with this version.

At this point there are not any 1.4 PoE2 servers up so if you install it you might have to wait awhile till the servers update to it.

I would download 1.4 but not install it. POE2 should be coming our with a patch in a week or so. They need to install it and see how it effects the mod. I don't really care about vanialla BF2 anymore so I'm not going to install but I do want to download it now before the severs get overloaded. (just in case POE2 works :))

I was able to join a server. There are 12 POE servers running 1.4 that come up in the browser. Only problem is that they range from 150-400 ping for me. I should have waited to install 1.4 because I don't really play much vanilla anymore.
